Rules of the site and the nights

Terms of use

This is a courtesy translation. In case of any discrepancy, the Italian version prevails.

These terms govern the use of the Secret Sedux site (sign-up, requests to attend, invitations, collaboration proposals and the restricted area) and participation in the nights. By creating a profile, sending a request or a proposal, or using an invitation, you accept them. Please read them together with the privacy policy.

1Who we are

The site and the nights are run by [Full name or business name of the controller], [address], [Italian tax code or VAT number] (“organisers”, “we” or “us”). Contact: [email address].

2Who can use the site

• The site and the nights are for adults (18 and over) only. If you sign up as a couple, you must both be.
• The data you enter must be true and up to date. A profile is personal: you may not create one on behalf of others, except for the partner with whom you sign up as a couple, and with their agreement.
• At the door we may ask for an identity document to check your age.

3Profile and sign-in

• Keep your password safe, and the device you use to sign in with Face ID or fingerprint: you are responsible for whatever happens through your sign-in. If you think someone else is using it, change your password and let us know.
• The photos you upload must show you (or both of you, if you are a couple). Photos of other people without their consent, photos of minors and unlawful content are not allowed.
• You can edit or delete your profile at any time from your page.

4Requests and review

• The nights are by invitation only. Signing up or requesting to attend does not entitle you to a place: the organisers review every profile and every request and may decline them, without having to give a reason.
• A night may require photos with the request: you will find the instructions in the request itself.
• Until it has been reviewed, you can withdraw your request.

5Invitations, contribution and entry

• If your request is accepted, you receive the payment instructions for the contribution set for that night and option. The invitation arrives only after payment.
• Refund conditions, if any, are set out in the payment instructions. If we cancel a night, we refund the contribution you paid.
• The invitation is personal and non-transferable: the code and the QR are valid only for that night and for the people on the list. Do not forward it or post it.
• The QR is shown at the door on entry, on every re-entry and on leaving: before you go, stop by the door. When you leave we record the time, for statistics on how long people stay (without names).
• The venue is confidential: you will find it only in your invitation and it must not be shared.
• At the door we may refuse entry to anyone without a valid invitation, anyone who does not follow the dress code or anyone who is not in a fit state to take part with respect for others.

6Respect and confidentiality

What happens behind the door stays a secret. By taking part you undertake to:

• always respect other people’s consent: no means no, and every interaction requires a clear yes;
• not photograph, film or record other people or the venues of the night;
• not reveal the identity of other participants or anything about them, during or after the night;
• follow the instructions of the organisers and the staff.

Anyone who does not respect these rules may be asked to leave the night and excluded from future ones.

7Collaboration proposals

Sending a proposal through Collabora con noi (Work with us) creates no commitment, either for you or for us. Any agreement (including fees) is valid only if agreed in writing. By sending a link to your work you authorise us to look at it in order to assess the proposal.

8Proper use of the site

It is not permitted to: attempt to access other people’s accounts or data, circumvent security measures, submit forms automatically, copy content in bulk, or use the site to harass, defraud or spread unlawful content.

9Liability

• We do our best to keep the site running securely and without interruption, but we cannot always guarantee it: maintenance, provider outages or network problems may make it temporarily unavailable.
• Everyone is responsible for the data and content they enter and for their own behaviour during the nights.
• To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damage arising from the use of the site; this does not affect our liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, nor the rights that the law grants to consumers.

10Suspension and deletion

You can delete your profile whenever you like. We may suspend or delete a profile, or cancel an invitation, if these terms are breached, if the data provided turns out to be false, or to protect the other participants.

11Trademark and content

The Secret Sedux name, the SEDUX logo, the graphics and the texts of the site belong to the organisers and may not be used without our written permission.

12Changes to the terms

We may update these terms: the version in force is always on this page, with the date at the top. We will let members know about significant changes; continuing to use the site after a change means accepting it.

13Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Italian law. For disputes with consumers, the court of the place where the consumer is resident or domiciled has jurisdiction; in all other cases, the courts of [city].
