Cookies and preferences
Last updated: 16 October 2026
This is a courtesy translation. In case of any discrepancy, the Italian version prevails.
We use very little: only the technical cookies needed to sign in to the site and keep it secure and, if you allow it, a few preferences saved on this device. No analytics, no advertising, no third-party services following you from one site to another.

2What we use
Cookies are small files that the site saves in your browser; the browser’s local storage (localStorage) works in the same way. Here is everything we use, with its duration:
| Name | Type | What it is for | Duration | Category |
|---|---|---|---|---|
ssx_session | Cookie | Keeps organisers and staff signed in to the restricted area. It cannot be read by the page’s scripts and is sent only to our site. | 7 days or until you sign out | Necessary |
ssx_member | Cookie | Keeps members signed in to their page. It is sent only with requests from the members’ page. | 30 days or until you sign out | Necessary |
ssx:consent | Local storage | Remembers the choice you make on this page or in the notice. | 6 months | Necessary |
ssx:lang | Local storage | Remembers the language of the pages (the home page, the sign-up page, your member page and “Work with us”): the one you choose with the IT/EN switch, or the one of a link you open, such as the links in our English emails. | Until you delete it | Necessary |
ssx:entered | Session storage | Remembers that you have already gone through the door of the home page (the one that starts the music), so it does not show again while you stay in the same tab. | Until you close the tab | Necessary |
| App cache | Browser cache | In the restricted area it stores the app’s graphics and code so that it opens straight away, even on a weak connection; on your member page only the “You’re offline” page and its files, shown when there is no connection. It contains no personal data. | Until the next app update | Necessary |
ssx:member-passkeyssx:passkey | Local storage | Remembers that you sign in on this device with Face ID or fingerprint, so that button is offered to you straight away. | Until you delete it | Preferences |
ssx:member-known | Local storage | Remembers that you have already signed up from here, so the page opens on “Sign in”. | Until you delete it | Preferences |
ssx:passkey-offer | Local storage | Restricted area: stops offering to turn on Face ID or fingerprint again once you have declined. | Until you delete it | Preferences |
ssx:event | Local storage | Restricted area: reopens the last night selected. | Until you delete it | Preferences |
ssx:door-mode:… | Local storage | Restricted area, door: remembers whether this phone records entries or exits for a night. | Until you delete it | Preferences |
ssx:door-listssx:door-queue | Local storage | Restricted area, door without a connection: the list for the open night (names, type, option, code, notes, hash of the QR, entries and exits) and the entries and exits recorded offline, waiting to be sent. | The list at most a day and a half, and until you sign out of the account or the session ends; the actions until they are sent | Necessary |
ssx:push-userssx:member-push | Local storage | Notifications: whose notifications are active on this device (they do not pass to another person who signs in on the same device). | As long as notifications stay on | Necessary |
Necessary cookies do not require consent (Art. 122 of the Italian Privacy Code, Legislative Decree 196/2003). The same applies to the language of the pages: it is a functional setting, used only to show you the site in the language you use, and under the Garante’s cookie guidelines (2021) it does not require consent. We save preferences only if you turn them on.
3What we do not use
- statistics or visitor analytics cookies;
- profiling or advertising cookies;
- third-party cookies or content: no social networks, maps, videos or fonts loaded from other sites. The Google Maps link in the invitation opens only if you tap it, and from there Google’s rules apply.
4Deleting them from your browser
You can delete cookies and site data at any time from your browser settings (for example in Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data; in Safari on iPhone: Settings → Safari → Advanced → Website Data). If you delete the necessary cookies, you will have to sign in again.
5Everything else
Who the data controller is, what data we process and how to exercise your rights are explained in the privacy policy.
